Gold Coast Gateway
A couple of images from last semesters design project: A mixed use light rail arrival point for the Gold Coast, AU. My driving idea was to free up the ground plane by raising the building, this created numerous shaded civic spaces and a strange relationship between the building and ground plane. The building disintegrates along its length creating openings and connections between programme.

Brisbane prototype
only a little data collected at the moment. Next step is to distinguish between different lot types and animate increases in prices (tween). Hoping to overlay some other data soon such as economic cycles and major disasters.

geocoding
A little program written in flex (google maps api) to geocode the real estate data I have collected. Process basically gives me a lat/lng (x/y) for each address and writes it to a file.

real estate data visualization
This is the first prototype of the urban data visualization software for my Master’s thesis. The basic idea of the prototype is to overlay real estate sales over time with another layer of information, for instance changes in zoning laws, or major floods. For the techies: data is being scraped using python, geocoded using flex (googlemaps api), and visualised using Processing. Will most likely use a statistics platform or rhino/grasshopper for data analysis. The city I am mapping is the Gold Coast in Australia.
